About Laregab At Ls 100 Mg/10 Mg Tablet
This is a combination medication which has Gabapentin and Amitriptyline as active ingredients. It is a prescriptive drug primarily used to prevent seizures. This medication belongs to a class of drugs called anticonvulsants. Aside from seizures, this tablet is also used to cure hot flashes, restless legs syndrome (RLS) and postherpetic neuralgia. It treats nerve pain in adults by affecting the chemicals and nerve responsible for these pains and seizures.
The daily dosage for this medication in adults is about 300mg to 600mg about three times a day. This drug can be taken with or without food. In case of a missed dose take it as soon as possible. Do not a drug overdose. If already time for your next dose skip it. Contact your doctor instantly in the case of a drug overdose.

How does this medication work?
This medication belongs to GABA analog. It works by binding to the calcium channels and increases the concentration of GABA and reduces the release of monoamine neurotransmitters, thus reduces the excitability of brain cells and helps to treat convulsions. The exact mechanism of action for Amitriptyline is not established. However, it is believed to act by preventing the reuptake of neurotransmitters namely norepinephrine and serotonin.
