It is an anthelmintic agent, belonging to the type called benzimidazole. Levasol M Syrup It results in degenerative changes in the worm cells (intestinal and tegument), via binding to the site of tubulin that is colchicine-sensitive. Therefore the wormis prevented from polymerizing or clustering into microtubules.
