About Lioton Gel

Lioton Gel is used for the treatment of superficial thrombophlebitis, the pain of veins, pulmonary embolism, blood clots in the veins, blood clots in lungs, and piles. It contains active ingredient heparin topical.

Every patient must give details regarding their medical history so that the doctor gives you the best possible suggestions regarding the dosages and interactions with specific diseases or other medications.

Patients having a low platelet count or bleeding issues must not consume this medicine as it can worsen the conditions. Some patients may feel the side effects for a few days even after stopping the intake of medicine.

They must consult a doctor with immediate effect because if left unchecked, it can lead to serious health issues. Lioton Gel acts as an anticoagulant and prevents certain cofactors like fibrin and thrombin from functioning correctly.

It combines with the enzyme inhibitor Antithrombin-III which causes conformational changes resulting in its activation through an increase in the flexibility of its reactive site loop. The generated antithrombin then disables thrombin and factor Xa involved in the clotting of blood.
