For those of you already suffering from severe depression injecting this drug into your body may induce the increased desire for committing suicide. Therefore, close monitoring of such patients is advised.

In order to lower the chances of probable side effects, you should discuss with your doctor if you are or have:

The dosage for Lorawel Injection will be prescribed by your personal physician depending on your age, gender, medical history and the seriousness of your ailing condition. The recommended dosage in adults generally is about 2 to 3 mg orally about 2-3 times a day.

In case of IV injection, the dose is about 1-2 mg twice or thrice in a day. There should be equal intervals between doses. If you are taking it orally, have it with ample amounts of water. In case of a missed dose, take it as soon as possible, otherwise skip it. Do not double dose and in case of drug overdose, notify your doctor immediately.

Symptoms of Lorawel Injection overdose include confusion, coma, hypoactive reflexes, dyspnea, labored breathing. Treatment for benzodiazepine overdose is supportive. Rarely is mechanical ventilation required.

Flumazenil has been shown to selectively block the binding of benzodiazepines to CNS receptors, resulting in a reversal of benzodiazepine-induced CNS depression but not respiratory depression. Treatment requires support of blood pressure and respiration until drug effects subside.

Take exactly as directed (do not increase dose or frequency); may cause physical and/or psychological dependence. Maintain adequate hydration (2-3 L/day of fluids unless instructed to restrict fluid intake).
