About Mahacef - Oz Tablet
This medication is used to treat infections caused by bacteria or protozoan. It works as an antibiotic by stopping the growth of bacteria and also killing them. Also, it is used to treat infections such as bronchitis, gonorrhea and infections of ear, throat, tonsils, etc.
This medication only treats bacterial infections and doesn’t work for viral infections like flu. The medicine helps by stopping the production of the microorganisms and thus alleviating you from the problems.

This medication belongs to the third generation cephalosporins. It works as a bactericidal by binding to the penicillin-binding proteins and inhibits the bacterial cell wall synthesis. It kills them by seeping into their cells through diffusion and damaging DNA and other critical bio-molecules through the formation of reactive nitro radicals.
