About Maxeron 5Mg Syrup

Maxeron 5Mg Syrup helps in treating nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy. It blocks the action of a chemical substance that causes nausea and vomiting.Patients suffering from gastrointestinal disorders like gastrointestinal hemorrhage, mechanical obstruction, or gastrointestinal perforation should not use this medication. Reglan 5Mg Syrup falls under the category of drugs known as dopamine-receptor antagonists.

The associated side-effects that come with the use of Maxeron 5Mg Syrupare headache, dizziness, sleeping problems, drowsiness and restlessness. Major side effects include depression, high fever, skin rash, hives, rapid and irregular heartbeat and stiff muscles.

Avoid using Maxeron 5Mg Syrup if you have any allergies, bleeding or blockage in your intestines or stomach, you have epilepsy, seizure, kidney, liver or Parkinson’s diseases, you have high blood pressure, breast cancer or a history of depression.

Ideally the dosage for you will be prescribed by the doctor taking into consideration your specifications. Maxeron 5Mg Syrup is available in both tablet and solution form. Usually the dosage prescribed is four times a day which needs to be taken before each meal and at night before sleeping.

    How does this medication work?

    Maxeron 5Mg Syrup is an antiemetic that works by inhibiting gastric smooth muscle relaxation caused by dopamine. This improves the response of the gastrointestinal smooth muscles to cholinergic stimulation, which leads to an increase of gastric emptying into the intestines. It antagonises the dopamine D2 receptors in the medulla which prevents nausea and vomiting.
