About Mediven Cream

Mediven Cream is used to treat inflammatory skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema. This also provides short-term relief of inflammation of moderate to severe corticosteroid-responsive dermatosis.

It also relieves the associated symptoms including redness, itching and swelling of the skin. The drug works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy.

Some possible side effects that may occur by using this lotion include eczema, itch, burning, irritation, etc. It should be used with caution in pregnant mothers and breastfeeding women. Do not use this lotion if you have a known allergy to it.

Topical cream is not for use in children <12 years of age. Topical cream should not be used with occlusive dressings unless directed by a healthcare provider.

A thin film of cream or ointment is effective. Do not overuse and do not use tight-fitting diapers or plastic pants on children being treated in the diaper area. use only as prescribed and for no longer than the period prescribed.

Apply sparingly in the light film and rub in lightly. The patient must avoid contact with the eyes. Kindly notify the physician if the condition being treated persists or worsens.

For external use only. Do not use on open wounds. Apply sparingly to occlusive dressings. It should not be used in the presence of open or weeping lesions. Do not use occlusive dressings with foam unless directed by healthcare provider.
