The injection can be classified as cephalosporin antibiotics and treats high fever having a greater risk of an infection, due to the low white blood cell count. The medication kills the bacteria and prevents the infection from spreading in the body. It is administered by an injection into a vein or a muscle, as instructed by your doctor.
