About Mesalazine
Mesalazine is an anti-inflammatory drug which treats inflammatory bowel disease, including inflamed anus or rectum or ulcerative colitis. It also is used to maintain remission in Crohn's disease. The prescription of this medicine that the doctor provides you is different for people with different medical conditions. Dosage also depends on your age, medical condition, gender, response to therapy, and use of interacting medicines.
Consult your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects: unexplained bleeding, sore throat, bruising, purpura, fever, or generally feeling unwell as these symptoms may indicate that you have a blood disorder.
