Metosartan 25 Tablet is primarily prescribe for the treatment of high blood pressure and angina pectoris. It also helps in preventing of myocardial infarction, atrial fibrillation, flutter, symptomatic treatment of hypertrophic subaortic stenosis. Metosartan 25 Tablet helps maintain optimal blood pressure levels in a person’s body. In patients who suffer from hypertension, it can lower the blood pressure.

How does this medication work?
This displaces angiotensin II with very high affinity from its binding site at the AT1 receptor subtype. It is responsible for the known actions of angiotensin II. The other active constituent of the composition Metoprolol blocks beta receptors sites in the heart, blood vessels, and lungs. This results in inhibition of epinephrine resulting in relaxed blood vessels. Thus pressure is lowered and blood flow to the heart is improved.

- Glucagon: Metosartan 25 Tablet may blunt the hyperglycemic action of glucagon.
