Metrogyl 2% Gel specifically act as an antibacterial and antifungal. The active constituent of the gel is metronidazole. It belongs to the nitroimidazole class of antimicrobials. The primary use of the medicament is to treat acne and pimple. Scientifically, it is known as rosacea, which is a disease of skin with symptoms like redness, flushing and acne (pimple) on the face.
It is available in the form of gel, which is to be apply over cleaned skin. The gel is usually applied twice a day. The medicament must not use in mouth, eyes, or vagina.
