MIFEGEST
- Mifegest contains mifepristone which is used for the medical termination of early pregnancy. Patients who are diagnosed with Cushing’s syndrome are prescribed this medication to control the excessive blood sugar levels. Mifepristone works as anti-progesterone hormone which blocks the affects of progesterone. Some of the well-known side effects of this medication include changes in the menstrual cycles, loss or lack of appetite, vomiting, nausea, low potassium levels, and swelling of feet and hands.

Yes you are not pregnant. What was the need to take 2nd kit? observe your symptoms like bleeding or low grade fever as test gets negative with destruction of pregnancy but pieces remain leading to bleeding and septic abortion. Some tiny retained pieces cannot be seen, even on ultrasound. Evaluate your symptoms and get back here for more guidance.

Mifepristone single tablet is taken orally with water and 4 tablets of misoprostol r inserted in the vagina by a doctor after 48 hrs to be most effective. Misoprost can be put sublingually or taken orally also but efficacy is less. Bleeding will start after misoprostol insertion. This can be done only till 7 weeks in india. 7 weeks to be calculated form the first day of last menses. If done after 7 weeks chance of failure is very high. It should be done under doctors supervision.
