Moxinow Tablet

The medication is composed of Moxifloxacin and Cefixime. It belongs to the cluster of quinolone antibiotics and used to treat bacterial infections. This antibiotic works by preventing the growth of bacteria. You must drink sufficient fluids during the course of medication.

The dosage of this drug will depend upon the severity of the condition. Complete the course of the antibiotic even if your condition gets better. This is because stopping the intake of an antibiotic prematurely will result in the relapse of the infection and the bacteria turning antibiotic-resistant over a period of time.

This drug is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic and a composition of Moxifloxacin, Cefixime. It works by inhibiting the enzymes topoisomerase II (DNA gyrase) and topoisomerase IV. This interferes with the bacterial cell replication and repair leading to cell death. It works as a bactericidal by binding to the penicillin-binding proteins and inhibits the bacterial cell wall synthesis.
