About Mycoclin Lotion
Mycoclin Lotion is used to treat an infection that occurs between the toes known as athlete’s foot. This should not be used if you are allergic to any of its ingredients or other azole antifungals.
Let your doctor know if you are:
- Pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Taking any prescription or non-prescription drugs.
- Taking herbal medicines and diet supplements.
The common side effects are blistering, oozing, redness, breathing difficulty and tightness of chest. If such signs are seen over a period of time, see a doctor immediately. It is advised to use this medication as per the direction given by the doctor.
Other uses of Mycoclin Lotion may includes ringworm, jock itch, tinea versicolor or tines manuum. It may also be useful in treating skin infection caused by yeast. Doctors may also prescribed this medicament in other infections as well.
Using Mycoclin Lotion should improve your consition in the initial two week of your treatment. Continue using it, even if you cannot see any improvement, as it may take time to cure the infection completely.
Do not stop using Mycoclin Lotion too soon, your symptoms may return back, as your infection might have not completely cured. Inform your doctor if your condition do not improve or get worse.
Patient must clean the affected area and allow to dry. Gently rub the cream over the affected area. After its application, you must wash your hands with soap and water. Do no cover the area by any bandage, wraps or dressing unless you are directed to do so by your prescriber.

How does this medication work?
This drug is an antifungal agent that works by strongly inhibiting the enzyme cytochrome P450 14α-demethylase which is responsible for conversion of lanosterol to ergosterol. Ergosterol is required for synthesis of the fungal cell wall and this inhibition results in eventual cell death.
