About Mycoral 180Mg Tablet

Mycoral 180Mg Tablet helps in the prevention of organ rejection in transplant patients. The drug may take about 6 to 12 weeks to start working. Keep taking it as prescribed by your medical practitioner.

Mycoral 180Mg Tablet used with corticosteroids and cyclosporine to prevent organ rejection in patients receiving allogenic renal and cardiac transplants. It is also prescribed for the treatment of rejection in liver transplant patients unable to tolerate tacrolimus or cyclosporine due to neurotoxicity.

This medicine is also employed in mild rejection in heart transplant patients. Also, Mycoral 180Mg Tablet is prescribed for the treatment of moderate-severe psoriasis.

Consume this medication with food to minimize possible side effects like nausea and stomach pain. If you are feeling like you have developed side effects such as sore throat, high temperature, any other signs of infections, immediately consult a doctor.

    Being an immunosuppressant, Mycoral 180Mg Tablet helps in reducing the action of the body's own defence system (the immune system) and prevents rejection of the transplanted organ. It causes inhibition of purine synthesis of human lymphocytes and proliferation of human lymphocytes.

        • Decreased effect: Antacids decrease Cmax and AUC, do not administer together; cholestyramine decreases AUC, do not administer together.
        • Increased toxicity: Acyclovir and ganciclovir levels may increase due to competition for tubular secretion of these drugs; probenecid may increase mycophenolate levels due to inhibition of tubular secretion; salicylates: high doses may increase free fraction of mycophenolic acid.
