About Nam Cold-A Tablet

Nam Cold-A Tablet is primarily used to treat common cold symptoms like running nose or congestion, sneezing, watery eyes or stuffiness. It is a combination medicine that falls under the category of adrenergic agonist, antihistamine and secretolytic agent. Its active ingredients are Pseudoephedrine, Cetirizine and Ambroxol.

It is used in the treatment of throat and breathing ailments like hay fever, flu, sinus problems and blockage in the nose or throat. You should take it at intervals of 4 to 6 hours daily.

This medicine helps by making the blood vessels of your breathing tract smaller in size. It works on the alpha-adrenergic receptors of your body, making the beta-2 adrenergic receptors act and relax the bronchial muscles. This, in turn, gives relief from irritation in the nasal passage, like congestion.

This medicine needs to be used with discretion and a consultation from the doctor in case you have a medical history of allergy to it or its components, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are planning to have a child soon. You should also notify your doctor if you have diabetes, heart and blood pressure problems.

Before using this medicine, have a word with your doctor and tell him/her if you have a history of heart, diabetes or thyroid disorders or high blood pressure. Also, tell your doctor if you’re pregnant, are planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding a baby.
