About Neorelax MR Tablet

Neorelax MR Tablet is used for the treatment of muscle stiffness. It is anti-inflammatory and analgesic. It works as a competitive GABA receptor antagonist in coordination with NSAIDs by bloking COX and inhibiting pain perception.

This medication provides relief for stiffness in spinal/muscle diseases/ joint diseases/ nerve diseases. It prohibits the action of cyclo-oxygenase in the body and resultantly lowers pain and swelling.The dosage is determined by your doctor based on your condition. However, the usual dose in adults is about 16 mg per day taken orally or 8 mg intramuscularly per day.

People with history of seizures should avoid taking Neorelax MR Tablet as it has convulsant activity. Other side effects you may experience on using this medication are nausea, skin rash, headache, dizziness, fatigue, allergy, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, dyspepsia, sensitivity to sunlight and gas.

Seek medical attention as soon as possible if you notice any allergic reaction. Before using this medication inform your doctor if you have or are:

  • Gastro-intestinal disorders,
  • Allergic to any ingredient contained with Neorelax MR Tablet,
  • Any other allergies,
  • Already taking any medications,
  • Alcoholic,

    Neorelax MR Tablet is a derivative of glucoside, colchicoside that is contained within Colchicum autumnale plant. Neorelax MR Tablet is a type of synthetic sulphur derivative. Neorelax MR Tablet has a high affinity to g-aminobutyric acid receptors. It activates GABA pathways and acts on the muscular contractures. It also inhibits the action of cyclooxygenase in the brain which is involved in the production of prostaglandins.

      Whenever you take more than one medicine, or mix it with certain foods or beverages, you"re at risk of a drug interaction.
