Nistin 100000Iu Ointment is available in the form of a suspension, and is administered orally. It is used to treat candidiasis in the mouth. It is fungicidal against a wide variety of yeasts and other fungi.

There seem to be no adverse effects due to prolonged usage. There have been reports of oral irritation and sensitization. There have also been reports of nausea, vomiting, gastrointestinal disturbances and bloody diarrhea. Urticaria and rashes have also been reported in certain cases.
