About Novamox 100 Rediuse Drop

As a penicillin antibiotic, Novamox 100 Rediuse Drop treats bacterial infections. It interferes with the synthesis of cell wall in a bacteria and stops it from growing. It is used to treat infections of the lungs and airways, skin, middle ear, sinuses, and the urinary tract. It also treats conditions like tonsillitis, pneumonia, bronchitis and gonorrhoea. Novamox 100 Rediuse Drop when used with an antibiotic clarithromycin, it treats stomach ulcers.

You should not use amoxicillin if you are allergic to any penicillin based antibiotic. Amoxicillin can make birth control pills less effective so ask your doctor about using non hormonal birth control to prevent pregnancy during the treatment. Tell your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby as it may cause harm to the baby. To make sure amoxicillin is safe for you, inform your doctor if you have asthma, liver or kidney disease, mononucleosis, a history of diarrhoea caused by taking antibiotics; or food or drug allergies.

Other drugs may interact with amoxicillin, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products. Tell each of your health care providers about all medicines you use now and any medicine you start or stop using.

Common side effects may include stomach pain, vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea, headache, vaginal itching or discharge or swollen or black tongue. Call your doctor at once if you have the following after using this medicine:

Take Novamox 100 Rediuse Drop exactly as prescribed by your doctor. They are available in liquid form, as chewable tablets and as extended-release tablets. Some forms of this medicine may be taken with or without food. Dosage is as per doctor’s prescription and it varies according to age, medical condition and how severe the condition is.

    • Ear Infection (Otitis Media)

      Novamox 100 Rediuse Drop is used to treat infections in the middle ear caused by Streptococci and Staphylococci strains of bacteria.

    • Nose Bleed

      Novamox 100 Rediuse Drop is used to treat infections in the nose and nasal chamber caused by Streptococci and Staphylococci strains of bacteria.

    • Throat Infection

      Novamox 100 Rediuse Drop is used to treat infections in the throat and airways leading to lungs namely Tonsillitis and Pharyngitis caused by Streptococci and Staphylococci strains of bacteria.

    • Lower Respiratory Tract Infection

      Novamox 100 Rediuse Drop is used to treat infections in the airways leading to the lungs. The infection can be Pneumonia, acute bronchitis or others caused by Streptococci and Staphylococci strains of bacteria.

    • Skin Infection

      Novamox 100 Rediuse Drop is used to treat infections of skin and skin structure caused by Streptococci and Staphylococci strains of bacteria.

    • Urinary Tract Infection

      Novamox 100 Rediuse Drop is used to treat infections of urinary tube, bladder (Cystitis) and kidneys (Pyelonephritis).

    • Gonorrhea And Associated Infections

      Novamox 100 Rediuse Drop is used to treat Gonorrhea and associated infections in the urinary tube and the region around the reproductive organs in both male and female.

    • Typhoid Fever

      Novamox 100 Rediuse Drop is used to treat typhoid and paratyphoid fever.

    • Stomach Ulcers

      Novamox 100 Rediuse Drop is used to treat stomach ulcers caused by Helicobactor pylori. It is normally used in combination with other medicines.

    • Dental Abscess

      Novamox 100 Rediuse Drop is used to treat infection of gums that result in formation of pus around the roots of the tooth.

    • Endocarditis

      Novamox 100 Rediuse Drop is used in the prevention of a condition where the inner walls of the heart gets swollen.

    What are the contraindications of Novamox 100 Rediuse Drop ?

    • Allergy

      Novamox 100 Rediuse Drop is not recommended if a patient is highly allergic to amoxicillin or other antibiotics of Penicillins and Cephalosporins groups.

    • Hypersensitivity

      Novamox 100 Rediuse Drop can cause allergic reactions characterized by rashes on the skin, swelling of face, tongue or throat and difficulty in breathing

      Novamox 100 Rediuse Drop can cause loose stools along with or without the presence of blood.

        Methotrexate

        Warfarin

        Usage of Novamox 100 Rediuse Drop with Warfarin should be reported to the doctor. The clotting time should be monitored promptly. Symptoms like increased bleeding, swelling, dizziness and weakness should be reported immediately.

        Ethinyl Estradiol

        Usage of Novamox 100 Rediuse Drop with Ethinyl Estradiol decreases the effectiveness of oral contraceptive pills, which might result in unplanned pregnancies.
