O2 Tablet is a combination medication primarily prescribed for treating diarrhoea and/or dysentery. It comprises antibacterial and antiamoebic drugs that fight against parasitic and bacterial infections. It is very effective in treating infectious conditions due to its dual action.
This medication inhibits the production of certain enzymes in the DNA of a bacteria, which are necessary for the survival and growth of this bacterial infections. Therefore, this antibiotic drug fights against bacterial infections by killing the bacteria and inhibiting the process of bacterial cell division.
It is advisable to take this medication only under the strict guidelines of your doctor. Follow this prescription until the course is complete, even if the symptoms disappear. Secondly, it works by seeping into the cells of the bacteria and/or protozoa through diffusion and damaging DNA and other critical biomolecules through the formation of reactive nitro radicals.
