About Onglyza 2.5Mg Tablet

Onglyza 2.5Mg Tablet is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor. It is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. It is a type of antidiabetic medication used in case proper diet and exercise alone is not sufficient to control and curb diabetes. Onglyza 2.5Mg Tablet works by stimulating increase in the insulin secretion and decrease in sugar produced by your body.

If you have type 1 dibetes, have diabetic ketoacidiosis (high levels of blood ketone), or if you are allergic to Onglyza 2.5Mg Tablet or any ingredient in it then you should refrain from using it. You should consult you doctor first, before using Onglyza 2.5Mg Tablet if you are pregnant, plan on becoming pregnant, breastfeeding, have history of pancreatitis or angioedema, or if you are taking any medicines, supplements or herbal preparations.

Onglyza 2.5Mg Tablet does not have any severe side effects. However, you may expeience sore throat, runny nose, upper stomach pain or back pain, sweling in ankles, feet or hands, or painful urination. If these effects continue for a prolonged period then you should see a doctor as soon as possible.

Onglyza 2.5Mg Tablet comes in the form of 2.5mg or 5mg tablets to be taken orally. You should not crush the tablets and should take one tablet on a regular basis and should continue the dosage as prescribed by the doctor.
