Belonging to the drug group azole antifungals, this capsule is useful for the treatment of a variety of fungal infections. It works by stopping the fungal growth in the body, thus relieving you from the infections caused by them.

Your doctor should be informed if you have any of the following health conditions, before prescribing this medicine to you:

• Any heart disease, including heart failure or angina (kind of chest pain)
• A medical history of irregular heartbeats
• Kidney disease, or if you are undergoing dialysis
• Liver or lung disease
• Pregnancy or if planning to get pregnant or if you are a breastfeeding mother
• Allergic reactions to medications, food and preservatives

• Histoplasmosis

• Invasive Aspergillosis

• Esophageal Candidiasis

• Allergy

  This capsule is not recommended for use if you have a known allergy to this medicine.

• QT Interval prolonging drugs

  This drug is not recommended for co-administration with drugs that are known to cause specific changes in heart rhythm.

• Congestive Heart Failure (Chf)

  This drug is not recommended for the treatment of onychomycosis in patients with congestive heart failure (CHF) or a history of CHF.

• Convulsions

  The effect of this medicine lasts for an average duration of 16 to 28 hours.

  The peak effect of this medicine can be observed in 2 hours for an oral solution and 5 hours for a capsule.

  This medicine should be avoided by pregnant women unless suggested by the doctor.

The capsule is an antifungal. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol which is an important component of the fungi cell membrane by inhibiting cytochrome P450-dependent 14α-demethylase enzyme, thus helps in inhibiting the growth of the organism.
