Opta Eye Drop

Opta Eye Drop falls under the group of medicines known as dopamine-receptor antagonists. It is used in patients suffering from Uveitis. It provides relief in case of eye inflammation and eye irritation. This medication is for external use only. Take it in the portion and duration as recommended by your specialist. Check the label for directions or read the leaflet present inside the pack/box before use. Hold the dropper near the eye without contacting it. Wipe off extra liquid.

Possible side effects include severe Blurred vision, Increased heart rate, Photophobia, Eye pain, Stinging sensation, High blood pressure. Don’t use this drug if you’re allergic to it, or have sickle-cell disease. Patients suffering from Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy or those having a history of breast cancer are not recommended to use this medicine. It should only be used by pregnant women and breastfeeding women if no alternative is found. Using filgrastim-sndz, tbo-filgrastim or pegfilgrastim is not recommended while using Opta Eye Drop.

It is introduced into the body either by injecting it into a vein or under the skin. The dosage depends on the health conditions of the patients and can vary from once daily to four times a day before each meal and once before going to bed.

  Missed dose should be taken as soon as possible. It is recommended to skip your missed dose, if it is the time for your next scheduled dose.

Opta Eye Drop inhibits the function of the parasympathetic nervous system by acting as an antagonist to the neurotransmitters. It increases the firing and conduction of electrical impulses of the heart. It inhibits the accommodation reflex and dilation of the pupils of the eyes.
