Otomed drop is an antibiotic drug and is composed of Ofloxacin, Beclometasone, Clotrimazole. It fights against bacterial infections. This drop inhibits the production of certain enzymes in the DNA of a bacteria, which are necessary for the survival and growth of this bacterial infections.

This medication can react with other medicines, therefore, it is advised to discuss with your doctor about other medications you are consuming. It should also not be taken by pregnant or breastfeeding women without taking medical help.

This drop belongs to the class fluoroquinolones and is composed of Ofloxacin, Beclometasone, Clotrimazole. It works as a bactericidal by inhibiting the bacterial DNA gyrase enzyme, which is essential for DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. This leads to expansion and destabilization of the bacterial DNA and causes cell death. Secondly, it is a synthetic glucocorticoid that specifically binds to cytoplasmic receptors. Lastly, it has both fungistatic and fungicidal actions. It binds to phospholipids in the fungal cell membrane and alters it''s permeability.
