About Pacimol Mf 100 Mg/250 Mg Suspension

This medication is composed of Mefenamic acid and Paracetamol. It is used as a pain reliever and generally prescribed to women for the treatment of menstrual pain. Known to be an NSAID, the drug blocks the action of substances that cause inflammation in the body.

Doctors do not advise the use of this suspension if you are allergic to any component present in it. Exercise caution if you had a bypass operation or suffer from kidney issues, stomach problems and ulcers. Women who are in their late stages of pregnancy are also not prescribed this drug.

    This drug blocks the action of Cyclo-oxygenase (COX) which is involved in the production of Prostaglandins. Your body produces prostaglandins as a retort to certain diseases and injury. It works by preventing the production of prostaglandins and thereby reduces pain and inflammation. The drug also selectively inhibits enzyme function in the brain which allows it to treat pain and fever. It activates certain receptors in the brain that inhibit pain signals.
