About Pantocid 20 MG Tablet

This medication is a proton-pump inhibitor drug. It is used for the treatment of gastrointestinal conditions like GERD or gastroesophageal disease. Also, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, stomach or peptic ulcers, and acid reflux.

This proton-pump inhibitor works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. It inhibits the acid-pumping cells within the stomach lining, from producing stomach acids. Thus, it decreases the production of stomach acids.

In this way, this medication is effective in treating the ulcers in the digestive system, the symptom of GERD called acid reflux and it prevents the esophagus from being damaged by stomach acids.
