About Pentosan polysulfate sodium
Pentosan polysulfate sodium is used for treatment of certain medical conditions like interstitial cystitis and thrombi. It works by forming a layer over the bladder wall and protecting it from irritating or harmful substances present in the urine thus providing relief from the disorders, discomforts and pain caused by interstitial cystitis. It also prevents clotting of blood by acting as an anticoagulant.
You should consult your doctor before taking Pentosan polysulfate sodium if you have a conditon of blood clotting disorder, intestinal polyps, stomach ulcer, liver disease, history of stroke or aneurysm, or diverticulitis.
