Pilocarpine is a medication used for the treatment of increase in eye pressure and dryness in the mouth caused due to damage of salivary gland damage, radiation therapy or Sjogren’s syndrome. The drug is used as an eye drop in case of glaucoma, and to regulate the constriction and dilation of pupils.
Before beginning the dose of Pilocarpine, it is important to consult the doctor especially if you have a history of serious respiratory disorders like asthma, bronchitis, cardiac problems, eye diseases like night blindness or any chronic abdominal disorders like gastrointestinal problems.
