About Pregasafe Tablet

Nervo tablet is a combination of a coenzyme form of Vitamin B12 along with GABA analog. It circulates through the bloodstream and is used to treat Peripheral neuropathy. In addition to the Vitamin B12 structure, it has an additional methyl containing metal-alkyl group.

It is one of the most important nutrients required in the human body. A lack of this vitamin can cause severe and permanent neurological damage. The medicine also treats Pernicious anaemia with weakness, numbness, tingling of fingers, etc.

This medicine is considered to be the first-line of treatment for neurotic pain, shingles, seizures and fibromyalgia. It is used for the treatment of diabetic nerve pain, epilepsy, spinal cord injury, restless leg syndrome and generalised anxiety disorder.

It plays a key role in the functioning of the Brain and Nervous system and the formation of the Red Blood Cells. Also, it is responsible for the protection and regeneration of Neurons.     How does this medication work?

    The medicine acts as a cofactor for enzyme methionine synthase, which transfers methyl groups for the regeneration of methionine from homocysteine. In anemia, it increases blood cell production by promoting nucleic acid synthesis in the bone marrow and by promoting maturation and division of erythrocytes. It is also a GABA analog and binds to the voltage-gated calcium channels in the central nervous system. This causes a reduced release of neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine, substance P thus slowing down nerve signals.
