Prilox Cream

Prilox cream, a local anesthetic drug of the amino amide type, is composed of Prilocaine and Lidocaine. This medication relieves pain of normal intact skin and numbs skin to pain from injections and other medical procedures. It works by blocking nerves from transmitting painful impulses to the brain.

Make sure you tell your doctor if you have G6PD deficiency, a history of heart disease, heart rhythm problems, infections at or near the place of application, blood disorder or a liver disease. It is advised to not apply this medicament on open wounds, burns, or broken or inflamed skin. Avoid its contact with the eyes, ears or mouth.

This medication is composed of Prilocaine and Lidocaine. Lidocaine is a local anaesthetic and antiarrhythmic that works by stabilising the neuronal membrane by blocking the voltage gated sodium channels.
