You need to continuously follow up with the doctor. The medicines might have to be changed it it looks like the infection has become resistant to a particular drug. Fungal infections do take a few months to clear. Regular follow up is important can't comment on homeopathy as i'm not a homeopathy dr.

Dear lybrate-user, you should take anti fungal treatment after a proper consultation from a dermatologist. Treatment may continue for 3-4 months. Regular follow up is required and medicines are changed according to the improvement. It is difficult to comment on medicines without examining. Thanks and regards.

I have fungal infection around my genitals (between scrotum and legs) since an year. For almost first 4-5 months, I ignored it considering in could be something temporary due to scratching by nails. I started treatment and from different doctor and many od them suggested itraconazole 100 mg per day, and creams like ketoconazole. It caused temporary relief but it re-appeared after stopping medicine. Then I started my treatment with a reputed dermatologist. He suggested me itraconazole 100 mg once daily, histafree 120 mg twice daily, applying candid dusting powder in morning and a mixture of triben and nadibact cream at night with candid dusting powder. This treatment continued for 2 months and the condition improved, but it still kept coming back as I stopped medicine, even after visiting doctor again, he still kept the same treatment routine. With that now, it has almost been 2 months again, and the infection hasn't re-appeared. How much time will I need to continue with this treatment to bet totally cured? How can I know about the right time to stop medication? Do I need to see another doctor?

Fungal infections in the groin are commonly referred to as jock itch or tinea cruris. They occur when certain types of fungi, such as dermatophytes, grow and multiply in warm and moist areas of the body, like the groin. Symptoms of a fungal infection in the groin may include: red, itchy rash: the affected area often becomes red, itchy, and inflamed. The rash may have well-defined edges and small, raised blisters or scales. Itching and burning: the rash can cause intense itching and a burning sensation, which can be uncomfortable. Peeling or cracking skin: the skin in the groin area may become dry, flaky, or start to peel. Odor: fungal infections can sometimes cause an unpleasant odor. If the symptoms persist or worsen despite self-care measures, it is advisable to consult a healthcare professional or dermatologist. They can provide a proper diagnosis and recommend appropriate treatment options, which may include prescription-strength antifungal medications.

The capsule is fine. So chloro is not correct. There is no allergy. Itching is because of candid and fungal vaginal infection. This is a vagina discharge is because of it. Permanent cure is necessary. Recurrence is very high vagina tablets and other treatments and creams are necessary.

Oral thrush is a fungal infection which occurs due to dry mouth, uncontrolled diabetes and weak immune system with debilitating disease or patient on corticosteroids. You may need fluconazole & renal safety dosage of amphotericin b (iv drugs to be used only with the advice of oral & maxillofacial surgeons). Kindly consult an oral & maxillofacial surgeon in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need candid ointment until then. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash. Advance procedures can be done with laser. You may consult me in person.

U can try this (do patch test first) wash the affected skin two to three times a day. Keep the affected area dry.Avoid excess affected skin irritation by wearing 100% cotton underwear. Avoid fabric softeners, bleaches, or harsh laundry detergents. Wash your workout clothes, underwear, socks, and towels after each use. Keep your affected area, inner thighs, and buttocks clean and dry, especially after you exercise and shower. After showering or bathing, dry the irritated affected area by gently patting it with a towel. Be sure to dry your skin thoroughly. Mix two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in two cups of warm water. Wash the infected area with this solution and allow it to dry on its own. Another option is to apply a mixture of equal parts of white vinegar and coconut oil on the affected skin. Like hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol can help kill off the fungus that's on the surface level of the skin. Listerine: it has antiseptic, antifungal and antibacterial properties, which help treat skin problem here are some tips to help you manage the infection:avoid using oily skin products.Reduce your exposure to the sun. Exposure to the sun may trigger or worsen an episode, do not wear tight clothing. Wear breathable fabrics, such as cotton, to decrease sweating.
