Thanks for enquiry. Firstly if eczema is diagnose by doctor you are not taking right treatment secondly if its fungal infection you need both oral medication topical and follow certain precautions like avoid contact ,use separate towel, keep good hygiene, on sweating apply anti fungal powder .review with pictures for correct diagnosis and treatment option.

After showering or bathing, dry the irritated affected area by gently patting it with a towel. Be sure to dry your skin thoroughly. I am 48 years, had ringworm infection at thighs, groin area. Typical symptoms are circular patches with persistent itching. Applied clotrimazole skin ointment but not much relief. I have diabetes. Could you please prescribe oral medicines to get rid of this fungal infection quickly.

Hii, ringworm or tinea is infection by dermatophytes (fungus) that tends to grow more in moisture prone areas of body. The condition is more exacerbated in summers. Clotrimazole is an antifungal, if it is definitely tinea, it should respond to this. If not responding, you can try other topical antifungals like luliconazole etc also, at times when the lesion is a bit large and since long, it needs oral antifungals alongwith antihistaminics. You should consult a dermatologist online by sending pictures or offline in person for proper diagnosis and rapid releif.

Hello lybrate-user, I understand your concern. Recurrent infection with treatment and persisting symptoms mean is are suffering from recurrent candidal or yeast infection. This will require long term treatment. Also there maybe added infections on to of the candidal infection which is preventing it from getting cured completely. But first we need to find out the reason for recurrent fungal infection. Hence it's important check your blood count and sugar levels (uncontrolled blood sugar will cause reccurent infection which is resistant to treatment. So my advice would be to do both tests before starting treatment. Hope this was helpful. And for more information and treatment kindly revert back. My personal code is plb9cb.

Derobin cream is not to be used for fungal infection. Use a luliconazole containing cream fir now and consult a dermatologist regarding further treatment as you will require oral medications along with topical therapy.

You may be suffering from tinea cruris which is fungal infection of the inner thighs, groin and buttocks area. It is also called jock itch. It can be treated by taking four to six weeks of anti fungal treatment which includes tablets along with creams. Do not use soap over that area. Mistreatment with over the counter steroid containing creams like fourderm, panderm, quadriderm, dermi5, cloben g betnovate, dermikem oc, candid b etc lead to repeated case of recurrence and also side effects due to application. Do not use steroid containing combination creams. Please contact me using online consult option with photos for detailed prescription. Do not delay treatment as it may spread further on your body and also to other people living in the household.

Fungal infections on skin are the most common of all and are 100% curable by Homeopathic treatment. I advise you to stop allopathic treatment as it gives temporary results only with lots of side effects, it will recur once you stop medicines .when does Itching gets worse ? pain / burning after scratching? any discharge? homeopathic treatment cures it from roots without side effects. no chance of recurrence. you can consult me online for homoeopathic treatment without side effects.
