I am 5 months pregnant women. I am suffering from diarrhea. My doctor recommended metrogyl 400. Bui I am unsure about the doses. How many days should I take and unsure about reaction to baby. And my diarrhoea has not cleared after eating for 2 days. What should I do next.

Metrogyl 400 dose is thrice daily for 5 days. Take bland diet, who ors and do not worry about effect on baby because at 5 months there is no problem in taking it. If loose stool is not corrected in 2/3 days then you can contact me.

I am 31 year old. I took mtp pills on 13th march, amd had bleeding from 24th march. I had heavy bleeding after a week, got a scan and found retained pieces inside. I was advised to take cytolog tab 200 mg twice a day for 5 days. On 27th march, I again had heavy bleeding and so the doc. advice augmentin and metrogyl thrice a day for 5 days as she said it must be infection that is causing pain and bleeding now, it is one and a half day that I took these medicines. I am having lower abdominal pain, it was intense yesterday, but lesser today. Bleeding has also reduced. But, I am looking for a second opinion. I hope my treatment is going in the right direction. Please suggest.

It better to get an ultrasound and make sure everything is cleared. Anyways antibiotic cover has been given, so no need to worry about infection in the process of expulsion, there will be cramps. You can take meftal spas or cyclopam for pain and see.
