One is for getting period in view of delayed period and other is for acidity. Your pregnancy depends on whether you are sexually active or not. These dont prevent or cause pregnancy

Gas n acidity is common issue during pregnancy. You can take 1 Pantop D capsule daily morning on waking. It is safe n can be used throughout pregnancy. If you want to opt for more safer medicines, then you can use some homeopathic syrups n medicines.

Hello! lybrate-user gastritis and acidity in pregnancy are common occurrences. 1st modify your modifiable factors like refrain from taking any tea coffee, avoid spicy, fried or pickled stuff, and avoid lying down for 30 minutes post meals. 2nd try taking your iron pills with your meals it will reduce the acidity caused by iron. Take Digene Syrup 2 table spoons whenever you have acidity. It is safest in pregnancy, though excess usage may cause constipation. Even though pantop is commonly prescribed in pregnancy, there have been some reports of its association with childhood asthama. Hope that helps.

Hi, when the UPT test is negative, there is no chance of pregnancy. The delay may be due to hormonal imbalance. Relax and wait for another one week. Acidity does not lead to pregnancy. On the other hand, if you are pregnant, acidity may be one of the symptoms during pregnancy. Continue to take Pantop 40 for 2 weeks continuously.

Hi, You seem to be in 1st trimester of pregnancy, during which it is very natural and normal to have nausea and vomiting. It is called morning sickness in laymen term and it is known as "Hyperemsis gravidum" in medical terms. No treatment is needed in most cases, as the symptoms are often mild as it is normal to feel nauseated at all kind of smells. I would advise as this was one of the incidence, kindly monitor whether you expercience these symptoms nausea and vomiting frequently then we need to prescribe medication. Mostly, observe at what time of the day do you have these symptoms, what triggers these symptoms, and what reduces this symptoms. Kindly revert back in case this occurs frequently then we have to prescribe medication and also need to prevent dehydration. I hope I answered your query satisfactorily, thanks for writing to us at Lybrate.

I am 30 weeks pregnant and two days ago I had gas problem. My doc prescribed pantop and duvadilan. It helped with gas but then I started feeling pain in my naval area. My doc said I had umbilical hernia. It's quite painful in my case but she says it cannot be cured as I am pregnant. Also she examined me internally and says baby has come down a little bit and prescribed rest for two weeks. I have following queries 1. I am doing very less physical activity and mostly lying on bed with pillow under my feet. Can this help in umbilical hernia. 2. I am bothered by the pain at night and cannot sleep properly. Also I am quite afraid of this hernia and how it might impact my baby. Can it be cured on its own. What all shall I avoid or do in order to cure it. 3. My doc says that the pains that I had was not because of gas and should have felt like labour pains. I am not sure how to distinguish the hernia pain and labour pain. Also please let me know how common is hernia during pregnancy? Am I the only one having it or is it a common problem?

Hernia does occur during pregnancy if there has been underlying weakness pre exhisting. Fotlr its treatment is to wait and watch only till delivery. Watch over for size of swelling at umbilicus if any. Umblical hernia pain is usually not very severe. The pain you are having may be labour pains. An examination by surgeon will help in confirmation of these issues.

The salt you have mentioned pentaprezol. Although studies have shown no side effect on growing fetus, it should be taken only when badly needed. Excess of common antacids may cause hinderence of iron absorption.
