Hello.
Sevista contains ormeloxifene which in majority of women causes amenorrhea.
However it is very in treatment of mastalgia.
Please do not worry. Amenorrhea following sevista is variable, however in majority of women, it returns in 4 to 6 weeks following stopping the drug.
You just need to wait and watch, your period will return.
Hi, It will make your mences irregular and scanty and pregnancy is not possible till you will take it but will return back after you will stop sevista.

Sevista is also a contraceptive. It can delay periods or stop it for some time. If it has eased your pain and your family is complete, then there is no harm in taking it. If your family is not complete, then try another treatment modality.

After taking sevista and stopping it, your periods will not resume immediately. If pregnancy test is negative, don't worry. Pain is not always indicative of ovulation.

Pain in the breasts could be due to cyclical mastalgia, fibrocystic disease, hormonal changes due to OC pills or pregnancy, granulomatous mastitis, abscess, cysts and rarely cancer. The treatment would depend upon the cause. Most common cause is cyclical mastalgia due to fibrocystic changes, which usually resolve with time. Treatment may be given if severe pain.
Better to see a breast surgeon who would examine you, ask for an ultrasound with mammogram (not in young patients) and SOS core biopsy if needed.
If you want to further discuss your symptoms, feel free to contact me directly.
If you are planning pregnancy in near future then defer taking this drug. Vit E and Bit B 12 will help you to some extent and not interfere with pregnancy planning.
