Hello Mr. lybrate-user, ppi intake stops calcium absorption, long-term ppi intake will definitely effect calcium metabolism. Although your vitamin d is normal the calcium does not absorb. In absence of dietary calcium blood culture is being maintained buy mobilising calcium from bones. Cramps should improve once you start taking calcium and vitamin d supplementation.
