About Rapitus Plus Syrup

This medication is an antihistamine drug along with antitussive. It works by blocking the action of histamine in the body and also suppresses the cough centre present in the brain. The syrup is used for relieving symptoms of sinus pressure and sinus congestion. It is also helpful against runny nose, itching of the throat and nose, watery eyes, and sneezing.

You are advised to not use this medicine if you are allergic to it. Do not use the syrup in combination with sodium oxybate, furazolidone or a monoamine oxidase inhibitor. Inform your doctor if you have breathing problems, glaucoma, heart problems, liver disease, high blood pressure and seizures.

The syrup can cause adverse effects such as dizziness, confusion, anxiety, constipation, nausea, restlessness, blurred vision, etc. Consult a medical expert in case of any discomfort and uneasiness.

    How does this medication work?

    This medication binds to the histamine H1 receptor, which prevents the action from endogenous histamine. It also works on the periphery by preventing cough generation.
