About Rebac 250 MG Syrup

Belonging to the quinolone family, Rebac 250 MG Syrup is effective in treating infections that are caused by bacteria. This is used to treat patients with bacterial infections such as pneumonia, anthrax, syphilis, gonorrhea, bronchitis, gastroenteritis and plague. This antibiotic is also used to fight against infections of the throat, skin, ears, nose, sinus, bones, respiratory system and urinary tract. Rebac 250 MG Syrup inhibits the regular synthesis of bacterial DNA, obstructing the process of their cell division. Therefore, it destroys the existing bacteria that are causing the infection, and it inhibits the growth of new bacteria.

This medication is also available in many forms such as tablets, oral solution, ophthalmic ointment and a solution that can be injected. It is important to read the label of this medication and follow the exact guidelines of the doctor’s prescription.

    • Pneumonia

      This medication treats Community-Acquired Pneumonia which is a most common type of lung infection caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae or Haemophilus influenzae.

    • Bronchitis

      This medication helps in treating bronchitis which is an inflammation of the lining of the bronchial tubes caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and some Mycoplasma Pneumonia.

    • Pyelonephritis

      Rebac 250 MG Syrup Pyelonephritis which is a type of kidney infection caused by E.coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococci and Klebsiella pneumoniae.

    • Cystitis

      This medication treats cystitis which is a bladder infection caused by E.coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococci and Klebsiella pneumoniae.

    • Prostatitis

      This medication cures Prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate gland that produces semen) caused by Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas and Enterococcus species.

    • Gonococcal Infection

      This medication treats Gonococcal infection which is a sexually transmitted bacterial infection caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae.

    • Joint Infection

      Rebac 250 MG Syrup bone and joint infections caused by Enterobacter cloacae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

    • Pneumonia With Cystic Fibrosis

      This medication treats Pneumonia with Cystic Fibrosis (an inherited disease that causes thick mucus to build up in the lungs and promotes the growth of bacteria like Staphylococcus aureus and Hemophilus influenzae).

    • Allergy

      Rebac 250 MG Syrup is not recommended for patients who are allergic to Pantoprazole or any other drug of the same group i.e Benzimidazoles.

    • Altered Sense Of Taste

        Nelfinavir

        Rebac 250 MG Syrup is not recommended for use when the patient is already taking anti-viral medications like Nelfinavir or other drugs used in the management of HIV Infection.

        Digoxin

        Rebac 250 MG Syrup should be used with caution if the patient is on Digoxin. Prior usage of any of these drugs should be informed to the Doctor. Any symptoms like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, disturbances in vision, and abnormalities in heartbeat should be reported immediately.

        Ketoconazole

        Usage of Rebac 250 MG Syrup with Ketoconazole or other antifungals of the same group should be avoided. Inform the doctor about the usage of either of these medications so that safer alternatives can be prescribed.

        Warfarin

        Usage of Rebac 250 MG Syrup with Warfarin should be strictly monitored by the Doctor. Suitable adjustment in dosage and monitoring of Prothrombin time is necessary to ensure safety. Any symptoms like unusual bleeding, swelling, vomiting, presence of blood in urine should be reported immediately.

        Methotrexate

        Rebac 250 MG Syrup should not be used with Methotrexate. Use of either of the drugs should be reported to the Doctor so that safer substitute could be prescribed.
      • Interaction with Disease

        Liver Disease

        Any incidence of liver disease should be reported to the Doctor. Suitable adjustment in dosage can be done based on the extent of the liver impairment.

        Osteoporosis

        Suitable adjustment in dosage and duration should be made for patients who are at risk for Osteoporosis related fracture. Established treatment guidelines should be strictly followed in such cases.

        Hypomagnesemia

        Any incidences of magnesium level imbalance should be reported to the Doctor. The imbalance could occur due to a disease or due to other medication used by the patient. Regular monitoring is recommended for patients taking Rebac 250 MG Syrup.
