About Retefuse 18Mg Injection
Retefuse 18Mg Injection is used in the treatment of heart attacks and improving heart functions. It is a thrombolytic drug, or a type of tissue plasminogen activator that works by breaking up bood clots responsible for the heart problems.
Retefuse 18Mg Injection should not be used if you are allergic to it or to any ingredient in it, or have blood vessel defects, high blood pressure, internal bleeding, spine or brain surgery, history of stroke, aneurysm. You should consult a doctor before taking Retefuse 18Mg Injection if you have kidney, heart or liver disease, infection, stomach ulcers, are on blood thinners. It should also be avoided if you are pregnant, plan on becoming pregnant, or are breastfeeding, or if you are on some medicines or supplements.
The reported side effects of Retefuse 18Mg Injection are sudden headache, vision problems, chest pain, sudden cough, change in heart rate, sudden weakness or numbness in the body, confusion, allergic reactions like rashes, swelling of throat, tongue, face or lips. Retefuse 18Mg Injection is administered as double bolus injection of 10 units each. The time duration of injecting each bolus is over 2 minutes and there should be a 30 minutes interval before giving the second bolus. Only two bolus injections are required for a complete treatment.

How does this medication work?
Retefuse 18Mg Injection Through the fibronectin finger-like domain and the Kringle 2 domain Reteplase binds to clots rich with fibrin. After this plasmin is formed as the protease domain then cleaves the Arg/Val bond in plasminogen. The fibrin matrix of the thrombus is thus degenerated, and exerts its thrombolytic action.
