About Roxid M 150 Mg/30 Mg Tablet

This is a combination medication which has Roxithromycin and Ambroxol as active ingredients. It belongs to a group of medicines called macrolide antibiotics. This medication is used to prevent and treat bacterial infection of the urinary tract and inner layers of the skin. Also, it treats respiratory infections from both upper and lower airways, such as otitis, sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, and pneumonia.

This medication can also cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Most common side effects are gastrointestinal; diarrhoea, nausea, abdominal pain and vomiting. Less common side effects include central or peripheral nervous system events such as

    This medication is an antibiotic that prevents the growth of bacteria by inhibiting the synthesis of protein in their cells. It binds itself to the bacterial ribosome and inhibits the synthesis of peptides. It diffuses easily into phagocytes and most tissues. Ambroxol is an agent that causes diffusion of thick mucus. Uncontrolled quantity of nitric oxide (NO) is related to inflammation and other kinds of disruptions of the functioning of the airways. Ambroxol inhibits the activation of guanylate cyclase which is nitric oxide-dependent.
