About Saroglitazar

Saroglitazar is used for the treatment of Hypertriglyceridemia with type 2 Diabetes mellitus and Diabetic Dyslipidemia. It is also effective in controlling lipid parameters like high triglycerides, and also controls high blood sugar and blood glucose.

There are no reported side effects of Saroglitazar. It is advised that you should consult your doctor before taking Saroglitazar if you have or are:

  • Pregnant , or plan on becoming pregnant,
  • Breastfeeding,
  • Any medical condition such as heart diseases,
  • Obese,
  • Allergic to any medicine or any such substance.

Elderly people should also consult a doctor before taking Saroglitazar. Saroglitazar is only available in form of tablets to be taken orally. It comes in packets of 10 tablets each of 4mg and should be taken only if recommended by a doctor, as per the prescribed dosage.
