About Shicalm Forte 50 mg/2 mg/5 mg Tablet

Shicalm Forte 50 mg/2 mg/5 mg Tablet falls under a category of drugs known as phenothiazine antipsychotics. It is used primarily as a psychiatric medicine. It treats mental and mood disorders such as bipolar disorder, ADHD and schizophrenia. It also reduces hallucinations. It functions by restoring natural substance balance in the brain. It is administered by injection either through the vein or into a muscle.

On using Shicalm Forte 50 mg/2 mg/5 mg Tablet you may experience side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, low blood pressure, skin rash, weight gain, dystonia, amenorrhea and akathisia. If your reactions persist or worsen over time contact your health care provider right away.

Inform your doctor if you have any of the following conditions: severe drowsiness, have allergy towards any ingredient contained within the medication or to any foods, medicines, substances. If you are taking any prescription or non-prescription drugs, you are pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant or are nursing a baby, you have heart/ liver/ kidney/mood problems, you have a history of seizures, asthma , Parkinson’s or high blood pressure.

Usually the adult dose is about 500 mg, taken orally per day. However, ideally the dosage should be prescribed by the doctor based on your condition.
