SOFOCRUZ 400MG TABLET is used in combination with other medications such as ribavirin, daclatasvir and peginterferon to treat chronic hepatitis C. It functions by reducing the hepatitis C virus in the body. This helps to keep liver disorders such as cirrhosis and liver cancer at bay.
On using this medication you may experience side effects such as diarrhoea, itchiness, headache, nausea, drowsiness, rapid breathing, rapid heartbeat and skin paleness. If your reactions persist, seek the help of your health care provider right away.

How does this medication work?
This medication belongs to the category of an antiviral that metabolises to 2''-deoxy-2''-alpha-fluoro-beta-C-methyluridine-5''-monophosphate on ingestion which then forms an active triphosphate nucleotide. This nucleotide inhibits the enzyme NS5B polymerase which in turn prevents viral replication.
