About Sonaderm Gm Cream
Sonaderm Gm Cream is a multi-drug medicated cream containing Clobetasol, Gentamicin and Miconazole. This cream treats inflammation, redness and itching caused by skin conditions such as eczema, allergic reactions, dermatitis, rashes and psoriasis.
It also helps in the treatment of several autoimmune diseases including vitiligo, alopecia areata, lichen planus, lichen sclerosis. This cream is not recommended to patients with known allergy to this medication.
Consult your doctor if you are a pregnant or breastfeeding woman. If you have any skin infection then make sure your doctor knows about it before prescribing this medicine. Apply this cream on the affected area twice a day or as directed by your doctor.
Make sure to not use it on the face, groin or underarms unless directed by your doctor. Do not apply smaller or larger amounts than prescribed. Avoid contact with eyes and do not consume the cream.
Apply Sonaderm Gm Cream to the affected area, usually twice every day in the morning and evening or as directed by your doctor. Apply this medication only on the skin. Make sure to not use it on the face, groin or underarms unless directed by your doctor.
Do not apply smaller or larger amounts than prescribed. Avoid contact with eyes and do not consume the medicine. Do not discontinue using this medicine without consulting the doctor.

How does this medication work?
It is a combination medicament, thus work through multiple mechanisms. Clobetasol belongs to corticosteroids. It works as an anti-inflammatory by inhibiting the metabolism of arachidonic acid by inhibiting phospholipase A2 thus inhibits the production of inflammatory mediators like prostaglandins and leukotrienes. Gentamicin belongs to the class aminoglycosides. It works by binding to the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosomes thus inhibits the protein synthesis in the bacteria and stops the growth of the bacteria. Miconazole is an antifungal. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol which is an important component of fungi cell membrane by inhibiting cytochrome P450 14-alpha-demethylase enzyme, thus helps in inhibiting the growth of the organism. Altogether they alleviates the symptoms.
