How does this medication work?
This medication is a muscle relaxant, which causes smooth muscle action and also provides anticholinergic action. Inhibition of phosphodiesterase type IV occurs as a result of the drug use. This also reduces the cytosolic calcium levels in the body. It also inhibits an enzyme named Cyclooxygenase which is responsible for the formation of prostaglandin. Prostaglandin is a major contributor to the process of inflammation and pain sensation in the body.
