About Spiromont-F Tablet

A leukotriene receptor antagonist, this tablet is used to treat asthma, hay fever and seasonal allergy symptoms. It prevents asthma attacks and breathing problems caused by exercise. It works by blocking leukotriene which in turn decreases certain asthma and allergic symptoms.

Possible side effects of this tablet include gastrointestinal disturbances, hypersensitivity, headaches, cough, diarrhoea, indigestion, mild sore throat, mild abdominal pain and nausea. Use alternative forms of this medicine if you are already taking idelalisib and ivacaftor.

    How does this medication work?

    This tablet works via dual mechanism and includes medicines Montelukast and Fexofenadine. It is used for the treatment of runny nose and common cold symptoms. Montelukast is one chemical that causes allergic reactions in the body. This medicine selectively blocks the action of this chemical in the body. Fexofenadine selectively inhibits the peripheral H1 receptors thereby reducing the histamine levels in the body. It specifically acts on allergies caused in the stomach and intestine, blood vessels and airways leading to the lung.
