About Sprot N 300 Mg/200 Mg Tablet

Sprot N 300 Mg/200 Mg Tablet helps in the treatment of bacterial infections. It also helps in the treatment of the urinary tract, tonsils, sinus, nose, throat, female genital organ, skin & soft tissues, and lungs (pneumonia).

You must not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Immediately stop using Sprot N 300 Mg/200 Mg Tablet and inform your doctor if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.

Consult your doctor if you find blood in the stool or if you feel pain in your tendons, numbness, or tingling sensations. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding must consult the doctor before consuming this drug.

Symptoms of overdose include nausea, vomiting, toxic psychosis, convulsions, increased intracranial pressure, metabolic acidosis; Severe overdose, intracranial hypertension, increased pressure, and seizures have occurred.

Avoid undue exposure to direct sunlight or use a sunscreen; take 1 hour before meals, but can take with food to decrease GI upset, finish all medication, do not skip doses; if persistent cough occurs, notify the physician.

    Being an antibiotic, it works by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. This prevents bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing them. This drug inhibits DNA polymerization in late stages of chromosomal replication.

        • Decreased effect with antacids containing magnesium, aluminum, or calcium, sucralfate, metal ions and didanosine. Avoid by 2 hours.
        • Increased effect of warfarin.
      • Interaction with Food

        Should be administered 1 hour before meals; can administer with food to minimize GI.

        Use with caution in patients with impaired hepatic or renal function and prepubertal children. It has been shown to cause cartilage degeneration in immature animals. This drug may induce hemolysis in patients with G-6-PD deficiency. Use Sprot N 300 Mg/200 Mg Tablet caution in patients with a seizure disorder.
