STEMETIL

Stomach is prescribed for patients suffering from indigestion, nausea and vomiting. This drug helps push the food faster through the food pipe so as to reduce symptoms like bloating, belching and gas in the stomach. It basically makes the digestion process normal. It is available in capsule form. The side effects of this drug include dry mouth, pain and tenderness in the breasts, and drowsiness.

I am a 33 year old female. Living in UK. Two weeks ago I found out I had thrush and also had little bouts of vertigo for 2-3 days like I felt I was swaying a bit. To make matters worse I had fever too so I popped in a single dose of nise tablet. And for cold and cough I had 1 tablet each of wikoryl and ciplox. The following day after a couple of mins after I was out of bed I passed out. The NHS team came home checked my BP and sugar and said I was fine. Reason for collapse was excessive heat in the house and I was too rapped up in layers coz of fever. Had no medicines thereafter. Just used canesten pessary and cream for thrush as suggest by the doc. After 4-5 days my body started to recover. But now for the past 2 days I have again started to feel that I have this swaying sensation. I am unsure whether it is cause of the thrush. Please advise. I am feeling quite low cause of all this and is worrying me quite a lot. I have slight cold and a very light sore throat as well. The symptoms of thrush though less was thinking of taking a fluconazole 150 mg single dose. Could the thrush be reason for swaying or the cold or some other reason altogether? I remember earlier taking stemetil whilst in India. Am really confused. Just want to get normal asap and want the vertigo to vanish. Please Please help. Thanks

It could be labyrinthine vertigo for which you were prescribed stemetil and I assume you were better. Restart the same bot on need to basis(whenever you have excessive swaying) and start tab cinnarizine 25 mg twice daily for a week. Avoid sudden jerky movements of the head.

She was possessed at the time when devil used to appear she uses to yell loudly. We took her to religious scholar she was recovering but suddenly she is like jerking her body and starts vibrating her legs and arms. We took her to psychiatrists but of no use. Before we also took her to neurologists all tests were good. I think doctors are not able to diagnose she is all in since when she is ok suddenly she start vibrating and saliva comes out of her mouth. psychiatrist prescribed Encorate chrono 200 ,clobazam 20, Astawin 20 but she felt worse after taking them. She was like roraing yesterday and after giving stemetil injection she was ok for some time. Please suggest something .

I am 27 year old, I am female, I am feeling so tired, for last 2 weeks, vomiting sense, but, not vomiting, backbone pain, early morning while waking my stomach is paining, in abdomen. I am a 32 years old married women and i suffer from irregular periods my doctor has prescribed Novelon tablets and sysron n tablets and i am having it for the past three months last sunday i vomited twice and started feeling giddy and went to a doctor who said that my blood pressure had slightly shot up and prescribed stemetil md but yeasterday when i got my blood pressure measured it was 150/70 when i contacted my doctor he told me to continue with stemetil md help i never had this pressure problem is it the side effect of novelon? kindly advise

Generally we advice lipid profile and sugar and have a check up befpre we start the pills. It can be possible you might have it already but now it has flare up.

How long does it take for an inner ear infection to get fully recovered. I have been feeling dizzy for the past one month now! I was on cinnarizine 15 mg twice a day for a week. Now my doc suggested stemetil 5mg which have been taking 3tabs daily for the past 3 days. No improvement yet. I am growing worried. Is this normal? does it take so long for an inner ear infection to get treated? do I need to see an ent specialist. Please advise.

Definitely u should consult an ent specialist. Its not necessarily inner ear infection, cause can be bppv benign paroxysmal positional vertigo that occurs due to dislodgment of some particles in the inner ear from one place to another and this can be corrected by a manouvre done by an ent specialist.
