About Stukinase Injection

Stukinase Injection is used for the treatment of blood clots in the blood vessels, helping them to dissolve and enhance the smooth circulation of blood in the body. It is an emergency treatment that is administered to save the life of a patient who has just had a cardiac arrest. The medicine is known to be helpful in case of deep vein thrombosis in the legs, or pulmonic embolism, that is the formation of blood clots inside the lungs. Stukinase Injection may also treat any thickening or solidifying of blood inside the catheter that is inserted into blood vessels. The medicine is available only on prescription. You must take your doctor’s advice if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy any time soon or a breastfeeding mother.     How does this medication work?

    Stukinase Injection exerts its thrombolytic action by combining with the inactive plasminogen and converting it into the active enzyme plasmin by breaking the Arg/Val bonds in plasminogen. Plasmin in turn breaks down the fibrin matrix of blood clots.
