About Tcris Cream
Tcris Cream is used as an anti-fungal or a topical antimycotic. It treats fungal infections such as athlete’s foot, Onychomycosis and Dermatomycosis. This drug is also used to treat a fungal infection that affects the nails.
You should not use it if you are allergic to any of its ingredients, or pregnant, planning to get pregnant or breastfeeding. This medication is not recommended for children below the age of 12 as well. Let your doctor know if you have a history of :
- Poor blood circulation,
- A weak immune system,
- Diabetes and
- Damaged nails.
To treat infected nails, it comes in the form of a medicated nail lacquer. It should be applied 1-2 times a week on the nail surface after cleaning it well. While fingernails should be treated for about 6 months, toe nails require to be treated for 9-12 months.
Avoid any contact with your eyes, nose and throat. The nail may start to become discolored and loose. Allergic reactions may be felt as well with a burning sensation.
